Did you know your family could have its own Aran design?

This was a surprise to me... but I stumbled upon a site where you can find Aran designs that are family-linked the same way a plaid tartan is in Scotland... course you have to have Irish ancestors for this to work, but check it out. There are examples of many fabulous combinations of Aran stitches, but no patterns.
